WHY WORK AT POUDRE SCHOOL DISTRICT?

At PSD, you can expect to be treated with respect and trust. We encourage our schools to have an autonomous mindset in order to meet the needs of their specific school’s students and parents. Not only does our community support our schools’ needs, we also support our teachers by providing every teacher with both a desktop computer and a laptop, in addition to providing ongoing training and development.

Our Mentorship Program supports new teachers with one full year of coaching so you can receive ongoing feedback and develop further into your new and exciting career in education. Our Welcome Event ensures you know the ropes around the district, provides additional information on what it means to be a PSD teacher, and increases awareness of the resources and tools available to you. If you’re an experienced teacher you will be placed on a professional track so you can continue to hone your skills in the classroom. Whether you’re new or experienced PSD welcomes those who have a true passion for teaching and caring for kids.

HEAR IT FROM OUR OWN

“The staff at my school have been welcoming to me as a first year teacher. Further, the staff at the central office are always available and willing to help. The bar has been set high, and I love working for a place that takes pride in that; it challenges me to do my best every day.” -Hannah Kvitle, SPED Teacher at Wellington

"Poudre School District offers continual opportunities to grow as an educator. Summer institutes give employees an opportunity to have a major role in crafting assessments and curriculum rather than have them handed to us by the district.” -Francisco Cordova, Social Studies Teacher at Fort Collins High School
